Nestled in the San Juan Mountains, Telluride offered the most stunning skiing and boarding on the continent. We experienced unrivaled scenery and terrain, shopping and spas and the ease of the free Gondola that connected both historic Telluride and the Mountain Village. Telluride is the most beautiful place you will ever ski. There are still many reminders of the mining town it once was, but now it's one of the west’s most popular ski resorts.  The locals and celebrities alike are all welcoming and friendly. Our club members enjoyed fresh powder, perfect weather, and great accommodations.

The Space Coast Ski Club joined 14 other clubs from the Florida Ski Council to comprise almost 500 people skiing, boarding and enjoying Telluride!

A big highlight was the Florida Cup Race! Space Coast placed 3rd!!  Our club’s fastest skiers for the ladies were Norma Barbee, Amy Tidd and Angel Hall and for the men William Swalchick, Kevin Simmons, Matt Bragaw, and Paul Peterson. Many medals were given out. Congratulations go out to all participants, our Race Captain Kenton Anz, and all of the racers who braved the gates for the Space Coast Ski & Travel Club.

The FSC hosted two big parties, Monday night welcome party and Thursday night costume party  “Gold Mine ” which brought out many interesting costumes.  Space Coast had the most trippers in costume!

Unfortunately we had one injury. Joey Cheyne decided to make her way down a black run and dislocated her shoulder.  She was a real trooper and smiled through the rest of the trip.

I believe all 55 of us had a great time and are looking forward to next year!
