Copper Mountain, CO
Holiday Trip
December 27, 2006 - January 2, 2007
Enjoy the mountains during the holidays!
Wonderful snow, wonderful location, wonderful skiing, wonderful places to
eat, play and go and best of all WONDERFUL trip participants!
The Copper Mountain trip worked well for everyone including flights and times
and weather. All 40 trip participants
found something to their liking. There were a couple of injuries and one family
dealt with illness but still found some
fun.
Copper Mountain probably has one of the best New Year shows anywhere from torch
skiing to stunt skiers and boarders
to awesome fireworks over the gorgeous moonlit snow covered slopes. We danced
and partied like it was 1999!
Good friends the Petersons, the Williams, the Flickingers, and the Budde gang
from Vero were great fun, with kids to
share their enthusiasm. We had the Barry Foursome from Tampa/Orlando as new to
our club, and Todd has the right
idea for a liquor store run...have cooler will travel...a true Seminole!
Danielle & James Wack, Shepp Lawrence, and Clair
& Laird Quenzler did not get enough so they stayed on to make the rest of us
envious. The Peters had fun too in spite of
losing the company of their friends, the Weissbachs at the last minute. Roddy &
Beth Kring skied until someone pulled
them off the slopes everyday; true pros. Two new folks to the club, Frank Repass
(from Cocoa) and Deborah Fallon (from
California) enjoyed skiing, snowshoeing and a bit of snowplowing on Frank’s
part. Bobby Colella & Krystal Davis were
the “kids” amoung us and loved playing in the snow, Krystal’s first, plus
fitting in plenty of skiing. “Crazy Bill Daily
skied every second he could and did at least wear his long pants!!!! Sunny &
Nicole Heck tried to keep up. The Hamm’s
will have to try this one again since the flu bug seemed to haunt them on this
trip, somehow they were always smiling
between times! Rick Schmid & Cindy Urban met in snow country and enjoyed the
slopes and shopping. Chris Phillips &
Leslie Kinney stayed busy shopping as well. And the Lawrence gang followed Laird
& Clair Quenzler around, skiing and
boarding between dancing with Mo, entertaining the group, snowshoeing, skating
and just having a great escape! We’ll
go back to Copper Mountain anytime! Sue Nesbitt
